10 reasons to consider Managed IT Services for your business

For every business, it’s important that the technology that keeps it growing and running continues to work twenty-four hours a day, three hundred sixty-five days per year. In almost every business, that requires technology services. Many businesses hire an internal IT staffer – but that can be risky. While most IT professionals are specialists in one or two areas, most businesses don’t use technology in only one or two areas. In addition to day-to-day IT operations, businesses also need to manage business continuity, disaster recovery and backup strategies.

Whether you have an in-house IT team, or are looking to fully outsource your IT needs, a Managed IT Service Provider can help you fill in your IT gaps.

Reasons to consider Managed IT Services

  1. Onsite or remote support

According to Microsoft’s 2021 Work Trend Index, over 70% of workers want flexible remote work options to continue, which means companies need to be prepared for a hybrid work environment. Having difficulty troubleshooting problems while working remotely? Whether your team is 100% or 10% on-site or in-office, Managed IT Services can help you manage troubleshoot IT issues and manage security.

  1. Enhance your in-house IT team

Be kind to your IT team – it’s impossible to specialize in every area of IT. This doesn’t mean you need to get rid of them completely! A managed service provider that takes a team-based approach can expand your team, so those blind spots are covered at a fraction of the cost. This provides additional, needed support without having to hire multiple additional employees.

  1. Identify weaknesses

An effective, multi-discipline managed IT service can help protect your systems from threats impossible for a small in-house team to manage. Outsourcing to a managed services provider familiar compliance standards, such as PCI (Payment Card Industry), helps reduce risks related to credit card use, client data and any other sensitive information leakages. Managed services providers put in place security strategies that ensure your business is up-to-par with security standards.

  1. Catch problems before they happen

Monitoring and managing your IT helps catch issues before they escalate into serious problems. Not only is managed IT quick to respond, it also ensures business continuity thanks to minimal downtime.

  1. Expertise

Managed Service Providers have a team of specialists, giving you expertise in multiple disciplines, for less than the cost of a full-time employee.

  1. Support around the clock

We know that business technology can seem complicated and confusing. We also know that technology decisions aren’t easy. Managed Service Providers are available 24/7/365 to answer your questions, resolve your technology problems, and remove obstacles from your business. This allows you to focus on running your business.

  1. Grow as you grow

A partner-minded provider will take a consultative approach to discovering what will serve your needs and help you grow. This way, you can start with what you need and add services when you’re ready.

  1. Optimize operational costs

Get full application support, all the software you need and a team of experts, but without the cost of making multiple hires for an in-house team. Managed IT Services help you reduce large expenditures, while getting you all you need to ensure your business remains competitive.

  1. Get access to the latest technology

Managed IT Services ensure that you are on the latest software release, and that updates are done with minimal interruptions to your business.

  1. Cybersecurity & Disaster recovery

The threat that cybersecurity attacks pose to your business — and more specifically, your business’ financial data — is real, and that threat will only grow as businesses move further into the digital space. Managed detection and response models can ensure that your business’ most vital information stays secure 24/7/365 days a year.
